Realistic Resolutions with Gorton’s Seafood & SparkPeople

I received product from Gorton’s in exchange for this post. However, all opinions are my own.

We’re a month into the New Year. Did you set resolutions for this year? If you did, how are they going? I’m not one to sit down and set actual resolutions. I know a lot of people do, but then again, I know a lot of people “fail” at them two weeks later. I don’t think it’s really possible to fail at your resolution just a few weeks in. I think you have the whole year to really make it or not. Anyway…

Gorton’s Seafood has paired up with SparkPeople, the largest healthy living community on the web, to develop a 30-Day Realistic Resolution Challenge! Participants will receive tips, recipe ideas and daily motivation to support health and nutrition goals.

Did I mention that there’s also a Gorton’s “Eat Smarter” Sweepstakes? You could win a $500 weekly prize or a $5,000 Grand Prize!

As we’ve discussed before, I’m not a big fish person. I decided to try the Grilled Salmon for lunch. I whipped up a side to go with it that is a perfect addition.

KidOFit Shoes Offer Barefoot Comfort + Giveaway

We received product in exchange for this review, but all opinions are my own.

Our boys have both been early walkers and were running at their 1st birthday parties. Before they really start walking, it's all about cute shoes (if shoes at all)! Once they're on the move, we want to make sure they have a good shoe: one that is comfy, ergonomically designed and can really offer a long lasting fit. And if they're cute, that's even better!

We were recently introduced to KidOFit shoes and I fell in love! These shoes offer all of the necessities for kids that are constantly on-the-go: running, dancing and playing! Medical experts worldwide agree that barefoot walking is optimal for foot development and enhances good posture for growing kids. KidOFit uses unique soles, made of thin, flexible elastomer, which perfectly mimics the barefoot walking experience and promotes natural foot motion.

“News for Newborns” from Pampers + Giveaway

This review was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Pampers. I was provided product free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% mine.

Owen’s 1st Birthday was last week. As a parent, we’re almost required to look at those early pictures to see how much they’ve grown in that year. It feels like just yesterday that we brought home our little boy.

Even though he was our second, we still had those “OMG, it’s a teeny tiny baby!” feelings. You know the ones I’m talking about. No matter how many kids you’ve had, I think you’re always going to worry about things and get a bit nervous about those early newborn days. Once they get a bit bigger, we start to relax (a little anyway).

Happy Family Toddler Nutrition + Giveaway

I received product in exchange for this post, but all opinions are my own. This post may contain affiliate links.

Now that Owen is 1, I guess it’s safe to say we have a toddler. How do you really decide when they’re a toddler and not a baby anymore? Owen walks, climbs, babbles, and tries to play with everything big brother does.

He is still nursing about 3 times a day: in the morning, mid-day, and before bed. Now that nursing has slowed down, we find ourselves wondering if he is getting enough of what he needs.

Happy Tot Grow & Shine Toddler Milk is formulated to support toddler’s extensive physical and cognitive development and ensure toddlers receive the essential nutrients necessary for their continued growth.

Feel Confident About LBL with Poise

Thanks to Poise for sponsoring today’s post.

So here we go. This is definitely a post that’s a bit different from recipes and crafts, but one that the moms will totally get. You know that feeling when you sneeze, laugh, or maybe even jump? The one that feels like a little tinkle maybe? That’s called light bladder leakage (LBL). I know… not really a pleasant thing to talk about, but what’s really unpleasant is having to wear a giant pad just because a little LBL might happen.

Don’t let the fear of LBL change your daily routine! If you want to laugh, jump around with your kiddos or exercise without worrying about a little tinkle, do it! Right now, you can grab a free sample of the new Poise Microliners!

3 Years Post VSD Repair

Today marks 3 years since I handed my tiny baby boy to the anesthesiologist. I will forever remember walking down the hallway and crying the whole way back. This is a short and happy post because his Congenital Heart Defect was detected while we were still in the hospital and as you can see, he’s perfect now! My baby is a fighter and he’s my first little miracle boy! For those that don’t know, here’s Charlie’s story.

Seventh Generation Delivered Over 120,000 Signatures to Fight Toxins

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Seventh Generation. All opinions are my own.

A little over a month ago, I shared with you how you could Join Seventh Generation and #FightToxins! Seventh Generation was trying to collect 100,00 signatures on a petition asking Congress to make the reforms on the Toxic Substance Control Act. The TSCA has not been updated since 1976!

Well, we did it! On April 30th, Seventh Generation, along with the Toxin Freedom Fighters and its partners, held a press conference on Capitol Hill to move chemical reform to the forefront of national discourse. Senator Kristen Gillibrand of New York was presented with the petition by Seventh Generation Toxin Freedom Fighter, Zephyr Chaffer.
