Our Getaway to Crown Reef Resort in Myrtle Beach

We just got back from an amazing 4 nights away! When was the last time you went away without the kids? For us, it had been since our honeymoon (a little over 4 years ago).

Instead of that long drive (which we just took 3 weeks prior with the boys), we flew from BWI to Myrtle Beach. I didn’t even realize MB had an airport, but they do! It’s small and cute, but has everything you need. The Crown Reef Resort shuttle picked us up from baggage claim and dropped us off at the resort check-in. I was a little nervous about arriving so early in the morning (10am) and that our room wouldn’t be ready, but after just about 10 minutes, we were handed our keys and off we went!

I Won a Vacation for Two

Last week I found out I was a Top Purex Insider for sharing my post about a contest: Start Summer Early & Win a Vacation from Purex! What this means is that I won a trip for two to the Crown Reef Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC, including 4 nights at the resort and airfare. How awesome is that?

We love Purex products in our house. They’re affordable and work great (both qualities are important in our house of messy boys)! Purex has released another great new product: Purex Crystals Dryer Sheets. Not only will these sheets keep your laundry soft and smelling fresh, they’ll reduce static cling, repel pet hair, and repel lint.

I’m not a fan of doing laundry, but folding clothes after using the new Purex Crystals fabric softener dryer sheets, it’s a little better. When the box arrived, you could smell the lavender blossom scent right through it (which made Charlie happy, because every package that arrives here is apparently for him)!

Myrtle Beach has remained one of my favorite vacation spots. We went with my family when I was younger and now my husband and I take our own family.

When we visit Myrtle Beach this year, we’ll be visiting the Ripley’s Aquarium. When we went in 2012, Charlie was too young to enjoy it, but this year- he’ll be 3.5 when we go. There’s definitely something for everyone in Myrtle Beach.

This is my husband and Charlie in 2012. I can’t believe this year there will be two of them running (or tottering) on that beach.
