We’re Ravens fans and would have loved to see them return to the Big Game this year, but it wasn’t in the cards. We’ll still be watching the game, enjoying some yummy food, and laughing (or sometimes crying) at the new commercials.

It’s already almost two weeks into the new year and we’re still in a whirlwind from the holidays. I love making dinner, but hate dealing with the mess! Sometimes by the time dinner is done, it seems there are more dirty dishes in the house than there are clean.
Today I’m sharing some dishes with you that will leave you with just one pot or skillet to clean!
I have to say I’m not particularly fond of candy canes, but they’re everywhere this time of year. Go see Santa, get a candy cane. Walk into a small business, get a candy cane. And you know after Christmas, all those candy canes will be on clearance!
I’ve put together some ways for you to use all of those candy canes!
Now go get all your candy canes! I’ve got drinks (grown-up and kid-friendly), cookies, candy, crafts and more!

I knew I wanted to do the Elf on the Shelf with our kids someday, but didn’t realize all the work it was! Tom got me the Elf on the Shelf for Charlie’s first Christmas in 2011. We attempted to do it in 2012, but Charlie was too little and we didn’t worry about it too much. Last year, we tried a bit harder, read the book and still failed. This year- this year we’re going to really try! I’m sure in comparison to most, we won’t be up to par, but hey… if I remember to move him- I’ve succeeded!
I’ve gathered some great Elf on the Shelf posts from my friends to share with you and save for myself! We’re going to need all the help we can get to make it this year!
Like many people, we don’t host Thanksgiving, but love to bring something with us for dinner. Certain things travel better than other of course, but here’s a pretty good list to get you started! You’re bound to find something on here that you can take with you to your next holiday dinner.
I don’t know about you, but where we are in Maryland, it definitely feels like Fall this week! Since we love doing crafts, I wanted to share some of the awesome crafts we found that are perfect for Fall.

Tomorrow morning we’ll be driving to Surfside Beach in South Carolina for our family vacation! From our house, it’s about a 9 hour drive straight through. With the boys, we expect it to take about 12 due to stops. For a 3 year old and a 10 month old, that’s a really long and boring drive. For the parents, it’s not much better. We’ll have the dvd player with us, but want other ways of keeping the boys happy along the way.
Charlie is getting ready to start preschool. He’ll be going twice a week for 2.5 hours each day. We’ll be getting home just in time for lunch! With Owen in tow, we’re always looking for quick and easy lunches. Here’s a few that we found that will fit the bill and Charlie will love!

What are some of your favorite lunches to whip up at home that your preschooler or toddler loves?
This weekend was a pretty nice one (after we got a new window unit ac since central ac seems to have crapped out on us). Friday night we walked to a car show at the garage right below our house. Charlie thought it was pretty cool, but he kept talking about boats. I guess we need to find a boat show to go to (or maybe just visit one of the million marinas around here).

I can’t believe that March is already over! Is this year flying or is it just me? Maybe it’s the fact that it still feels like winter here in Maryland that makes me think it’s still February.
In case you missed them, these are the top 10 posts from March.
